Qualification in Siscomex (Radar)
To operate with import and export, the company or the taxpayer (individual) needs to register in the Integrated Foreign Trade System (SISCOMEX). This registration can be done directly by the company/taxpayer or with the advice of a specialized trading, because, before requesting the qualification, one must be aware of the Normative Instructions of the Federal Revenue Service and all the rules that legislate on this registration.
The requesting company may make as many requests as necessary to try to effectively perform the enabling in SISCOMEX. However, it is worth mentioning that the more studies are carried out on the company and on the molds that should be guided by the requests for revision of the estimate, the more effective the result of the desired qualification will be, thus avoiding a greater wear and tear of time and relationship with the Federal Revenue Service.
When requesting the qualification in SISCOMEX, it is necessary to be aware that, for individuals, from IN RFB 1984/20, the qualification in SISCOMEX is waived. For legal entities, there are 3 types of modalities:
Express Qualification – For companies incorporated in the form of a publicly-held corporation (S/A) and public companies and mixed-capital companies, with no stipulated limit, both for import and export;
Limited Qualification:
Limited up to USD 50,000.00 – The limit for carrying out import operations with exchange coverage is up to USD 50,000.00, in each consecutive period of six months (CIF import value); and export, without limits;
Limited up to USD 150,000.00 – The limit for carrying out import operations with exchange coverage is up to USD 150,000.00, in each consecutive period of six months (CIF import value); and export, without limits.
Unlimited qualification – It has the ability to carry out import operations, with exchange coverage above the value of USD 150,000.00, in each consecutive period of six months (CIF import value); and export, without limits.
